“London Bridge line-side fire” results in SouthEastern services cancelled

March 3, 2010

According to station announcements at Lewisham and Hither Green, South Eastern train services to London Charing Cross were impacted by a line-side fire outside London Bridge this morning leaving passengers stranded at various south-east London train stations.

Docklands Light Railway trains saw the inevitable increase in demand as a result of the cancelled London bound trains with passengers held back by station staff to prevent platform overcrowding.

Customers were advised to use their tickets on buses instead.
