“This is what new politics looks like …”

“This is what new politics looks like …”, originally uploaded by Thoroughly Good.

Prime Minister David Cameron and Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg threw a little press conference in the back garden of 10 Downing Street this afternoon.

It was quite a surreal affair, jaw-dropping in fact. Two men, both fresh faced, both lacking ministerial experience and both new in the job answering questions as though they were both leaders of the country. It’s just a bit weird to see. It looks like they’ve been best mates for years. It’s going to take a bit of getting used to.

All this with a sound mix featuring a number of noisy birds. No word yet on whether tea and biscuits were offered to the assembled press corps after the press conference.

In fact, given the way the pair of them walked into and out of the garden you’d be forgiven for thinking the UK had elected a president and a vice president.

Wordle: CON-LIB agreementBe sure to take a look at the Wordle graphic of the Cameron/Clegg press conference created by Chris Quinn. Makes for interesting reading.
