Enough with the transparency
Interesting to see page 3 of last night’s Evening Standard mostly given over to a paparazzi shot of Prime Minister David Cameron on what looks like a bit of a jog. Behind him is his bodyguard. In front is the PM’s celebrity fitness chappy Matt Roberts who we’re told is only brought in from time to time to tone up Cameron.
This at the end of a week in which William Hague revealed rather more than any of us were expecting in his attempt to quash rumours about him and SpAd Chris Myers, which in turn partially eclipsed Tony Blair’s revelations he used alcohol as a prop when he was Prime Minister.
Quite a lot of detail about three politicians we all probably don’t need to know and certainly aren’t any of the wiser because we do. Is the cross-party transparency thing going just a little bit too far?
