Never one to miss a cliché

November 23, 2010

Back in the day when the idea of a radio microphone would have been silly talk and costume designers knew nothing of the unforgivable sin that is combining both high heels and leg warmers, squeaky clean pop trio Sweet Dreams reprised their song Never Givin’ Up at the 1983 Song For Europe.

Ah. Them were the days. The dance routine may have fallen by the wayside and they may have failed to romp to victory in that year’s Eurovision, but the sentiment of the song remains intact. Either that, or it’s the best way to get over my most recent letter from the den.
